Discover a fortified seaside monastery, chapels and vineyard landscapes.
Depart from Palm Beach in Cannes and reach Sainte-Marguerite in around 15 minutes. Choose your rental option and explore the coves at your own pace.
Across from Cannes, Sainte-Marguerite is known for its natural coastline, pine and eucalyptus trees. From your kayak, admire rocky shores and small beaches. Where landing is permitted, you can continue your discovery on foot.
Fort Royal overlooks the northern shore. The former fortress houses the Museum of the Iron Mask and Fort Royal, linked to the story of its mysterious prisoner. Its ramparts offer striking views over Cannes and the bay.
The Batéguier lagoon on the western side is a natural area popular for birdwatching. Walking paths also cross the island under the shade of its trees.

South of Sainte-Marguerite, Saint-Honorat has a peaceful, distinctive atmosphere. A monastic community has maintained a spiritual tradition here for centuries. Its low shoreline and clear waters are particularly beautiful from the sea.
Lérins Abbey lies at the heart of the island’s identity. On land, discover the abbey surroundings, historic chapels and the impressive fortified monastery overlooking the water.
Vineyards tended by the monks, coastal paths and views towards Sainte-Marguerite make for a different experience from its neighbour. Please respect the peaceful atmosphere and areas reserved for the monastic community.

South of Sainte-Marguerite, the Cannes Underwater Ecomuseum offers an unusual experience: six monumental face sculptures by artist Jason deCaires Taylor rest a few metres beneath the surface.
The artworks lie roughly 3 to 5 metres underwater, about 100 metres from shore. Swimmers with a mask and snorkel can view them in a designated swimming area. Admission is free.

Meet our team at Palm Beach, Pointe Croisette. After check-in and a briefing of around 15–20 minutes, set off with your kayak and route information.
